The D50 III now features two ES9039Q2M DAC chips and an XMOS XU-316 USB interface. enabling it to support high-resolution streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512. TOPPING chose to offer the possibility of operating it as a DAC/preamplifier with volume control. coupled with active speakers or a power amplifier. The DAC D50 III's connectivity interface features numerous digital inputs: SPDIF Coaxial. Toslin Optical and USB-C. Outputs include a balanced 6.35mm TRS jack and an RCA output.

TOPPING D50 III's USB-C interface has two ports. A transmission port and a power port. It is recommended to use the additional power port when the D50 III is connected to a laptop or phone.
